Weekly Summary #3 (Mar 15, 2026 to Mar 21, 2026): Quiet Week
March 21, 2026
It’s a bit of a quieter week so I don’t have any topics to discuss. I am working on adding a few new features where I can.
Media Log
- I watched a Black Mirror episode called “Eulogy”. A brilliant episode exploring how a man remembers and reflects on his past relationship with an ex-girlfriend using technology that builds memories through photos. It shows how the way we remember others can contrast to what the true story is.
- I start a Kairosoft game called Dungeon Village 2. You build a town to support adventurers who go out and fight monsters, explore dungeons, and take down bosses. As you grow your town, you unlock new facilities, hold events, and create a space that your adventurers can settle in and rest. It’s pretty addicting.
Loose Thoughts
- There is opposition to the installation of sidewalks in a neighbourhood in Ottawa. I personally find this an odd topic to be a NIMBY about. Here’s the article for more details.
- Today should be the first day of Spring, but where I live, there’s always a final round of snow and negative temperatures. I call this period, “fake spring”.
Cool Find of the Week
CivicSearch is a tool that can search through transcripts of local government meetings and provides their timestamps. It is a very effective tool for sifting through hours of videos and obtaining clips instead of having to watch them in their entirety. Try the tool out here.
