Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving! It’s nice to have an extra day away from school/work. The Snapshot series is for posting a collection of mini-updates when the content is not long enough to justify having their own post. I will post these either weekly or bi-weekly with some exceptions.

Waiting for MapleStory Classic

Nexon announced their Founder’s packages where paying for the $59.99 USD package or the $79.99 USD package grants you early access to MapleStory Classic and some exclusive items. By buying these packages, you were able to start playing as early as October 6, 2026 two weeks before the game is released to the public on October 21, 2026. I’ve been wanting to play MapleStory Classic, but I definitely wasn’t eager enough to spend that much money for early access.

I know a few people who have purchased the Founder’s packages though and they are having a blast. In the meantime, I will be patiently waiting for my turn.

All You Can Eat Burgers for 17.99?

There’s a chain restaurant called St. Louis Bar & Grill that had a limited time event for All You Can Burgers (AYCE) for $17.99 CAD. A typical burger meal at a restaurant nowadays can cost a bit less than that, around that, or even more depending on the location. With a deal like that, I was curious enough to try it out.

I wish I took photos, but the burgers were very thick. The patties were just as thick as the buns themselves. My friends tried making room for more burgers by ordering their burgers with lettuce buns instead of the usual brioche ones, but even those were still filling. In the end, I was only able to consume 3 burgers before tapping out. However, I think 3 burgers would be plenty for the average person and I definitely got my money’s worth.

Quick Thoughts

  • I am not thrilled about the removal of bike lanes in Toronto. This does not alleviate congestion, is a waste of money, and makes cycling more dangerous. The provincial government should not be overstepping like this.
  • AI use during the election is obnoxious. The designs are not even good either. The content is overstuffed, they show no personality, are lazy, and take away opportunities from artists who could have otherwise helped out.

Media Log

  • I watched Primetime at the movie theatre. I liked the movie and its direction, but I had to acknowledge that it is a dramatization that portrayed Chris Hansen in somewhat villainous way. The events were either exaggerated, twisted, or not true at all. Even Chris Hansen didn’t like it and gave Robert Pattison’s portrayal of him a ‘D’ grade. However, he said you can still watch the movie and make up your mind.
  • I’ve finished the Story Mode for Bang Average Football, a cozy-style football manager game where you take on the role of a football player who also manages a team. The team you manage and play for was once a top-tier team but has since fallen into the depths of despair. Bring your team to victory as you hone your skills, make decisions, play matches, and promote your way out of leagues. The gameplay is quite solid minus a few janky parts, but I enjoyed it overall.
